Hi there fellow tech freaks. Its time to get the dirty work done! Yes reviewing a mobile. Not any mobile this is the Nokia C3 i am talking about guys. You are wondering if there is a phone like this or if this is a new launch or anything.Well Nokia C3 has been there in the market for quite sometime now and it is safe t say that this is the BUDGET PHONE of 2010.Well there is this class for smart phones but the problem is they actually don't come with a low price tag.C3 is purely a phone worth for its money.
wanna know the pros and cons ? Read On!
Let me first begin with the basic specifications before entering into any sort of comparison!
DIMENSIONS:
Its roughly 115.5X58.1X13.6mm weighing around 114g slightly lighter than the BB bold. Its Volume is 63.2cc.
DISPLAY:
The phone has a 2.4" TFT screen and is Landscape OVGA.
POWER MANAGEMENT:
The phone has a BL-5J Li-ion battery. It has a fair talk time of about 7hrs and stand by of about 800 hr.Music playback mode is 30hrs in offline mode.So you can roughly think about the battery life of this sucker!
MEMORY:
No need to be surprised or anything because now days phones stock really good data storage and our C3 has a 55Mb internal storage and 8Gb hot swappable micro SD card.
CAMERA:
The camera is not that good as it is only a 2.0 MP camera with NO FLASH.Yup there is no flash,This phone manages a decent picture with proper lighting and all but without light this is equal to useless.
CONNECTIVITY:
The usual 2.0mm charger connector , a 3.5mm AV as well as audio jack out ,Hi speed USB 2.0 micro USB connector and bluetooth 2.1 version with high data rate.
This phone has a QWERTY keyboard with dedicated contacts and messaging keys.C3 flaunts a great body appearance. With a sweet Blackberry-esque metallic finish and a plastic front which looks almost like metal but unfortunately not.
People let me remind you one thing,This sucker comes with a price tag of Rs.5,673[source : univercell] and gives a good competition to its rival. With an almost Black Berry Bold appearance this phone looks really good.
You might think why this phone is so cheap, the reason is software.Nokia has gone too low compromising on hardware and software. This comes with a symbian S40 OS.Yeah not a S60 but a S40.That was kinda dirty on Nokia's part. But come on,you saw the price tag right?
You want a better phone you need to pay up!
The materials used in manufacturing this Phone is completely recycle friendly. So you might call this a Green Phone. This Nokia phone comes with a pre installed Opera mini browser which wasn't all that good but still usable!
The QWERTY is Brilliant, with soft and equally spaced keys making those really long email and Texts look easy. [gosh i wish i had one of those now :) ].This is more of a Social Networking phone,For all you Social Birds out there.Constant tweeting and Facebooking can be done with a single key. There widgets are supported in the home screen and you can choose from various Widgets pre installed. The games look really good and is entertaining.
The Phone on the whole is worth its money but you wanna look for options?i'll tell you why.
For starters this phone does not support 3G so at crucial point like now when all the networks are ramping up to 3G you might wanna get a higher end nokia or a lower end Android. The wi-fi has certain issued initially while connecting which can be fixed by a Hard reset. No multi tasking and a pretty awful Symbian S40.
The deal breakers are the Brilliant QWERTY keyboard,High end phone resemblance,Bright screen,Ample storage,Brilliant battery life and of course the browser.
So if you want to own a phone with decent enough Specs and a good value for your money go for this phone!
Let me remind you its just Rs.5,673 :) Go for it!
